Valentine’s Dance to Benefit Food Bank

The second annual “Hearts of Fire – Feed the Desire” Valentine Dance will take place on Saturday, February 16 at 7:00 pm at Sylvania Country Club, 5201 Corey Rd.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable organization established in 1984.

Volunteer chair persons Dana Mollenkamp and Debbie Katich have planned an exciting evening featuring live entertainment by the KGB Band.  “We have raffle prizes, a silent auction, a delightful menu including hors d’oeurves and dinner plus dancing,” said Dana Mollenkamp, co-chair.  Photos are being donated by Kurt Nielsen Photography.  Corporate sponsors include Checker Distributors, Dave White Chevrolet, Managed Care Advisory and Merrill Lynch.  Additional sponsorships are still available.

“The need for nutritious food is a continuing struggle,” said James M. Caldwell, President & CEO of the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank. “One in five children goes to bed hungry. We rely on the generosity of individuals and groups to help provide food assistance to eliminate hunger in eight counties in Northwest Ohio.”
