Worship: Maundy Thursday: Potluck at 6 p.m., Worship at 7:00 p.m. Sermon: “In Remembrance of Me.”This “stational” service will journey through the whole of the six scenarios we have visited during the six weeks of Lent: The Parade, The Temple, The Teachings, The First Supper, The Last Supper, and The Garden. Then we will move to The Cross to reside there, taking in the sorrows of this moment, our own sorrow, and the sorrows of the world. Having entered into the Passion, how will we respond?
April 9th Easter Worship Sunday Sermon: “Risking it All.” On this last Sunday of our Lenten series, “Entering the Passion of Jesus”, we reflect on our last painting – a depiction of Christ’s breaking the bondage of death by defeating all evil forever. These images and the scriptures of Easter are our touchstones to live a life of hope and joy!
April 16th Worship: Holy Humor Sunday Sermon: “Joy in the Morning”
Scripture: Acts 2:14a, 22-32; Psalm 16; 1 Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31. We continue our Easter celebration with “Holy Humor Sunday”, which has become a tradition at HCC, observed the Sunday after Easter each year. Bring a family friendly joke or two to share – and our friends worshipping virtually can type a joke in the chat to be shared!
April 23rd Worship: Earth Day Worship Sermon: “Touch the Earth Lightly”
Scripture: Acts 2:14a, 36-41; Psalm 116:1-4, 12-19; 1 Peter 1:17-23; Luke 24:13-35. We observe Earth Day today – fully acknowledging that every day is Earth Day – as we ponder the words of poet and lyricist Shirley Erena Murphy: “Touch the earth lightly, use the earth gently, nourish the life of the world in our care…”

Guest Speaker: Rev. James Willis, ABC Ohio Northwest Regional Minister. We welcome our friend, Rev. Willis, pastor at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, to share the Good News of Christ, and also to update us on happenings in ABC Ohio. You will be inspired by the words of this Godly servant!
