September 19 Worship: 17th Sunday After Pentecost Scripture: Jeremiah 11:18-20; Psalm 54; James 3:13-4:3, 7-8a; Mark 9:30-37 Sermon: “Solidarity” What does it mean to stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized? Solidarity may mean providing means of survival and support. But as Jesus shows, solidarity may also require us to enter uncomfortable, disruptive spaces in our pursuit of justice.

September 26 Worship: 18th Sunday After Pentecost Scripture: Numbers 11:4-6, 10-16, 24-29; Psalm 19:7-14; James 5:13-20; Mark 9:38-50 Sermon: “Dream Big ”This week’s scriptures contain stories of both dreaming and
fear; of great possibilities and great loss; and of all the dynamics that dance between these two extremes. What are your greatest fears? What are your biggest dreams? Do you trust in God enough to live through your fears and embrace your dreams for a better world for all?

Saturday, Oct 30th / Trunk or Treat from 6pm – 7:30pm: Everyone is invited to decorate their cars in family/kid friendly themes and park them in our lot and welcome little Trick-or-Treaters from the community! Feel free to dress up as well (family-friendly). Please also purchase candy to distribute from your trunk. Families can work together, and feel free to bring lawn chairs as well. Join the fun! Social Distancing will be followed. Please email hccoffice@frontier.com if you plan to bring your car!
