Padre Pio Prayer Group

Dear Parish Bulletin Reps:  May is dedicated to The Blessed Virgin Mary.  The Holy Father’s Intentions for the Month of May, 2021:  The World of Finance.  Let us pray that those in charge of finance will work with governments to regulate the financial sphere and protect citizens from its dangers.  Feasts for May:  Ascending Christ, Joseph the Worker (5/1), Philip and James (5/3), Damien de Veuster (5/10), Nereus and Achilleus (5/12), Ascension of the Lord, Our Lady of Fatima (5/13), Matthias (5/14), Isidore the Farmer (5/15), John I (5/18), Bernardine of Siena (5/20), Christopher Magallanes and Companions (5/21), Rita of Cascia (5/22), St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi (5/25), Philip Neri (5/26), Augustine of Canterbury (5/27), Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (5/31).

The world is resplendent with Spring’s increased light and new growth.  It is Mary’s month in the Easter season and all of nature rejoices with the Queen of heaven at the Resurrection of the Son she was worthy to bear.  During the remainder of Easter time let us endeavor through the prayers of the Holy Liturgy and Holy Rosary to deepen our gratitude for the mystery of our Baptismal rebirth in Christ. “Love our Lady and make her loved; always recite the Rosary and recite it as often as possible.” ~ St. Padre Pio.
Our Padre Pio Prayer Group is now beginning a new ministry in the ‘Art of Rosary Making’ (see attached flyer).  We need your help by posting this flyer and/or THE BLADE article (also attached) ASAP on your parish bulletin and/or boards, “invites new and experienced rosary makers to make rosaries for our public safety forces and health care workers in the spirit of St. Padre Pio”. This more detailed article, “Padre Pio Prayer Group’  noted in THE BLADE, Religion page, Sunday, April 18, 2021, in the left column, center (see attached article) is provided for your review and consideration.  Together we can introduce the beauty, value of the Rosary by inviting everyone to join us in making these special ‘Padre Pio’ rosaries to distribute both in appreciation for their efforts to save us from harm, injury,  and similarly to the benefits of recitation of the Rosary for peace from war, violence, pandemic, etc. which our world needs now.  “The Rosary is the weapon.” ~ St. Padre Pio.
May we respectfully request that you continue your active support of the monthly Padre Pio Prayer Group gatherings by inserting the following invitation in your parish bulletin:  “Join our Padre Pio Prayer Group (PPPG-CK) each second Saturday (5/8/2021) monthly for the 8:00 A.M. Mass, Rosary, Discussion, Adoration @ Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623.  Access ‘www.pppg.org‘ for info.  Contact Magdalena Skiles (419.356.4208) or email: ‘magdalena@magdalenaskiles.com‘.

In the spirit of St. Padre Pio,
