When things are going smoothly we sometimes forget about talking with God. After all, why do we need His help when we have all we need? Nice house, stylish cars, high paying jobs…life is good!
But when a crisis comes we call out for help and we’re not sure he hears us!
The Bible tells us that God does talk to us. He may not speak to us through the same clear voice that Moses and the patriarchs of the Old Testament heard. He may not speak to us through visions as he did with the Old Testament prophets.
However, God does speak to us today through His written word which is the Bible. Proverbs 30:5 tells us, “Every word of God proves true, he is a shield to those who take refuge in him”.
Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish…” (John 10:27-28)
