Toledo Prays Event

Toledo Prays will gather the community of Greater Toledo on the National Day of Prayer, May 7 to pray God’s Glory Across the Earth lifting up families, schools, government, military, businesses, media, the Church.  The prayers will revolve around the points from the national theme from Habakkuk 2:14, “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”  We are also adding a category of prayer focus, First responders/Medical personnel, given the immediate need to lift up these civil servants during this national crisis.

If we can safely gather in person, doors will open at 6:30pm at Cornerstone Church (1520 Reynolds Rd, Maumee) to welcome the over 500 people expected to pray collectively on this annual day set aside to call on God to be present and moving in every part of our lives.  There are twenty different pastors and ministry leaders representing many different Christian denominations facilitating the group prayers at this year’s rally.  They represent the diversity of our community and the love for one another desired in these seven areas of need in our nation, our region and our homes.

Join us for Toledo Prays which will start at 7pm, doors open at 6:30pm. The goals for the evening are to create a greater sense of unity between churches and pastors in our region, to soften the spiritual ground in Toledo, to equip, empower and release the church to pray bigger prayers and reach 500,000 souls throughout the greater community by building excitement and anticipation for evangelism.  These have been the goals of Toledo Prays since the annual rally started five years ago.

If we need to hold Toledo Prays online only to continue to stop the spread of the Covid19, the event will be streamed at Mergetoledo.com and on the Cornerstone Facebook page.  We would encourage everyone to log in and join in this online but still collective time for prayer.   It is at times like these that we are thankful for the technology that still would allow us to pray as one to see God’s glory throughout our nation, in our government, in our homes, communities, churches and families.
