A Word of Encouragement

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:1-2)

It’s easy to get discouraged sometimes when we’re faced suddenly with stormy seas as we’re seeing today. School closures, short supply of grocery items, lack of work and so on.

But remember that this, too, shall pass and Jesus is the one who can calm the stormy seas!

In Mark 4:25-41 Jesus was sleeping in the boat as the storm raged and the people with him were very afraid! When they woke him, he rebuked the waves, the wind died down and it was calm.

He asked them, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” That’s the issue that faces us today. Those who have faith have Jesus in the boat with them. Have faith that Christ will calm the stormy sea.
