We will first be preparing lasagna on Tuesday, September 24th
at 6:30 p..m. at HCC . Then, on Thursday, September 26th, we
will serve the meal at First Presbyterian. Please consider signing
up to help either day or to donate food items. Sign up sheets are
posted in the sanctuary. See Julie Thomas with any questions.

Girls’ October Event: Propel Women’s Conference
Grand Rapids, MI Friday-Saturday, October 4th-5th
We will carpool and leave early on Friday, Oct 4 to drive to
Grand Rapids, do some shopping, and check in to our
hotel. The Propel Women’s Conference, “Activate 2019”
begins at 9:30 am on Saturday so we will return late that
evening. Cost for the conference is $94.95. Sign up sheet is
posted in the sanctuary.
Girls’ November Event: Men vs. Women Mexican Food Competition!
Wednesday, November 20th 6:00 p.m. at HCC
(*Note Date Change) Come ready to cook, using a variety of ingredients to create an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Food will then be judged and eaten!
Trunk or Treat: Saturday, October 26th, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at HCC
Everyone is invited to decorate their cars in family/kid-friendly
themes and park them in our lot and welcome little
Trick-or-Treaters from the community! Feel free to dress up as
well (family-friendly). Please also purchase candy to distribute
from your trunk. Families can work together, and feel free to
bring lawn chairs as well. We will provide a hot meal inside the
church before, during, and after the event for those passing out
candy. The evening will begin with a Car Decorating
contest. Join the fun!
STAR WARS MOVIE MARATHON and YOUTH OVER-NIGHTER
Saturday, September 14th starting at 4 p.m.
Everyone is invited to stop in to watch one movie, or
stay all night to watch episodes IV-VII. Youth are
invited to bring a friend and also sleeping bags, pillows,
toothbrushes, and clothes for church the next day.
Donations of snacks, drinks, etc. can be placed in the
kitchen. Please sign up in the sanctuary if you plan to
attend and indicate if you will be staying overnight.

The Board of Christian Education is sending care packages again this year to college students living away from home. Items are needed by Oct. 2nd Contact church for item list.
