Memorial Service for Aborted Children– Saint Joseph Parish On Saturday, September 14, pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at the grave sites of aborted babies and other memorial sites dedicated in their honor for the seventh annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. Solemn vigils will be held at these sites to commemorate the more than 60 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973, and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child. More Info: We will process reciting the Rosary to the Memorial. There will be a short memorial service. Refreshments will be served after the event in the Portico closest to the monument. The Gospel of Matthew Standing at the start of the New Testament, the Gospel of Matthew provides a bridge from the Jewish world awaiting a Messiah to the emerging Christian world of Jesus and His followers. This Gospel introduces us to Jesus as the Master Teacher whose words of instruction are captured in large teaching sections.Revealed as Emmanuel (God with us) at the start of the Gospel, Jesus will promise His continuing presence as the disciples are commissioned at the close of the Gospel. Commentary, study/reflection questions and access to recorded lectures are included; cost of materials is $20. It will be held for ten consecutive weeks, and two sessions are offered. Held in the East Campus Meeting Rooms: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. beginning September 17 or Wednesdays from 9:30-11:00 a.m. beginning September 18.

The group has fun together. We will watch “Heaven is for Real” (PG) for the fall session and share a meal! *Note: to make the most out of the film and the discussions, we ask that you come each week for the fall session to take away as much as possible from the film and discussions. The Alpha Marriage Course It’s a Friday Date-Night, but so much more!

The Cathedral Concert series kicks off on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with a free performance. A trio of outstanding Toledo musicians join forces for a concert of solo works by Biber and Bach concluding with
the Brahms Piano Trio in B major. Merwin Siu (violin) and Damon Coleman (cello) are members of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. Michael Boyd, a Steinway Artist, is professor of piano at the University of Toledo. All concerts are free except the Toledo Symphony presentation of
