Evening Prayer during Lent Vespers (Evening Prayer) will take place in Church on: Tuesday evenings – March 12, 19, 26; April 2, 9, 16 from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Lent is our season of prayer, fasting and almsgiving, ancient practices dating back to the Israelites. Vespers is one of the prayers of The Liturgy of the Hours – the public prayer of the Church for praising God and sanctifying the day. All Catholics are called to this prayer – please join us as we give thanks for the blessings of the day!
“From Death (Row) into Life” Presented by the Saint Joseph Parish Knights of Columbus Council 5628 and the Franciscan Village Friday, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. in Saint Joseph Church The evening begins with Stations of the Cross followed immediately by Father Neil Kookoothe and Joe D’Ambrosio. Father Kookoothe is a native Toledoan and a Catholic priest, lawyer, nurse and advocate for the social justice issues of wrongful conviction. With help from Father Kookoothe, Mr. D’Ambrosio was exonerated from Ohio’s death row in 2012 after spending 22 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The two men will share their real life experiences with the flaws of the criminal justice system. The talk will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m. and there will be time for questions and answers.

CYO Track practice will begin Monday, March 4th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the East Campus Gym. More information about the track season will be shared at practice. Athletes in grades 4-8 who attend Saint Joseph School, Saint Benedict School, or parishioners who are enrolled in the parish religious education program are welcome to participate. Men’s Morning of Spirituality—April 13, 2019 Men’s Morning of Spirituality (MMOS) is an annual event for men seeking to enrich their Catholic faith, with keynote speakers and local witness speakers sharing stories, traditions and dogma, related to theme topics. Holy Mass celebrated by Bishop Thomas, Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Eucharistic Adoration are also a part of the day’s agenda, along with a continental breakfast and snacks. MMOS is free of charge and open to all men seeking a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater unity with other men seeking to grow their Catholic faith. Saint Joseph Eucharistic Adoration on Tuesdays in the Holy Family Chapel after the 8:20 Mass until 6:00 p.m. and Fridays in Lent until 6:30 p.m. Would you like to sign up for prayer and devotion before the Blessed Sacrament? Look for the next Adoration date, fi nd the hour that you would like, fill in your name and email address. A confirmation will be sent to you automatically. It is quick and easy to do.
