I think it is interesting that, at least in my lifetime and in this society, we celebrate a time for giving thanks before we move in to the season of giving gifts and sharing peace and joy and creating and witnessing miracles and magic. This seems so appropriate: to give thanks for the blessings and good in our life first. All of our prayers should be prayers of thanks for good always comes out of every situation and event. It may not be seen right away but good will come from it. Meister Eckhart said it long ago: “If the only prayer you ever said was ‘thank you’ that would be sufficient.”
So after we have recognized and given thanks for our blessings then we can be about sharing and bringing peace, joy and love to others. We can witness and create miracles and magic. So now we have had our thanksgiving and we are in the season peace and joy and miracles and magic. Really celebrate this season. You will be glad you did. And so will the world.
Then do this all year round and all through your life. Thank you for being you.
