Christmas Ministry Outreach Adopt a Family Each year, our parish assists those in need within our Parish boundaries, as well as referrals from Sylvania Area Family Services, Harbor and Heroes in Action. This outreach has been successful due to your support and willingness to adopt a family!!! It’s a great way to put our faith into action. We have families ranging in size from one to ten. Many parishioners form “teams” to share in the shopping for our larger families. You will receive detailed shopping and delivery guidelines. Gifts can be delivered to the East Campus Meeting Rooms or directly to our Heroes in Action families. We will need many volunteers during the fi rst 3 weeks of December. All help is welcomed! Donations are accepted at the Parish Center or drop your check in the Sunday collection basket (check payable to Saint Joseph Church with Christmas Outreach in the memo). Christmas Families can be adopted beginning November 10th, 2018. Contact Laurie Foster text or call 419-460-1702 or email LCMR59@ bex.net. For Heroes in Action families and volunteering, please contact Sue Jurski by email suejurski@ buckeye-express.com or call 419-350-8161 if you can help.

Thomas Saturday, November 17, for an ecumenical Prayer Vigil for Life from 10:00- 11:30 a.m., at Saint Francis De Sales Chapel, 501 Cherry Street, Toledo. Following the Prayer Vigil, Bishop Thomas will lead a Procession to ProMedica Headquarters, 100 Madison Avenue in Toledo. Over 13,000 signatures support asking ProMedica’s President/CEO Randy Oostra and the ProMedica Board of Directors to reconsider this transfer agreement. You may sign the petition at www.petition.life which states: “I believe a prestigious healthcare provider like ProMedica should not support an abortion facility that ENDS life rather than SUSTAINS it.” For more information, or for your group to be recognized in attendance, please contact Director of the Office for Life and Justice, Peter Range at prange@ toledodiocese.org or at 419-214-4933.
