Padre Pio Prayer Group
2018 is a special year, as it marked both the 100th anniversary of the visible stigmata of St. Pio of Pietrelcina (August 19, 2018) and the 50th anniversary (September 23, 2018) of his death. In commemoration of both anniversaries, Pope Francis visited both Pietrelcina and San Giovanni Rotondo on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
A tour of relics (St. Pio’s mantle and a handkerchief soaked in sweat hours before he died etc.) traveled in March 2018 in the USA.
Our next Padre Pio Prayer Group ‘Movie’ Day is scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, 2018, both @ 1-3 and 7-9 PM, at our Christ the King Parish Meeting Room, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623. Our Guest Speaker will be our own member, Robert Schwanzl, sharing his memories and photographs from his recent blessings experienced while on a recent pilgrimage to Ireland with his daughter, Marie, and fellow Pilgrims, Padre Pio Prayer Group, Cleveland, OH. People look forward to our bi-annual ‘Movie’ Day, and so it is vital to post this personal invitation everywhere (parish bulletin, poster, events, etc.). The formal flyer is forthcoming within the next week and will be forwarded to you for distribution and advertisement. Remember: the Best invitation is always by word of mouth, a personal invitation from you. Special blessings are received through the spirit of St. Padre Pio.
