“Draw your strength from the Lord and from His mighty power. Put on the armor of God.” Ephesians 6:10-11(a) Paul’s letter to the Ephesians reveals many remarkable gifts that we as Christians are given in the Church. It shows us the great inheritance that awaits us as sons and daughters, adopted fully into the family of God, and reveals how God’s great love for us can transform our daily lives. Ephesians will enrich your faith and show you how to live it out. This letter has been called the “crown and climax” of Pauline thought. Join us for this 8-week Bible Study that will be offered on Tuesday evenings (7:00-8:30) and Wednesday mornings (9:30-11:00) beginning September 25/26 in the East Campus meeting rooms. The Respect Life Committee of Saint Joseph, Sylvania, is sponsoring a Day of Remembrance Memorial Service for the Unborn Saturday, September 8, 2018, after the 4:30 p.m. Mass. Pro-life Americans throughout the country will gather at gravesites and memorials for aborted babies, dedicated in their honor, for the sixth annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children. Solemn vigils will be held at these sites to commemorate the more than 59 million children who have lost their lives to legal abortion since 1973 and to remind our society of the humanity of the unborn child. Please join with us and others at 5:40 p.m., after the Parish 4:30 Mass, in the south parking lot and walk (0.6 miles) to the Memorial Statue for the Unborn on the campus of the Sisters of Saint Francis which is near the Little Chapel. (You may drive directly to the site if you can’t walk.) Our prayerful walk will be led by the Knights of Columbus. Father Chris Hudgin will lead the procession with a Rosary to our Holy Mother while walking. We pray always for babies and their parents. Refreshments will be served in the nearby Portico after the vigil.
