When men check in to the shelter they’re assigned a bin to hold their “stuff.” You read that correctly, one bin equals all their stuff! Can you imagine the sum total of your life, all your worldly possessions, fitting in one plastic storage bin? The hopelessness of losing nearly everything they’ve ever had is evident on their faces when they enter Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission and put what remains in a bin designated for them.
Even in lean times we can be thankful and be a blessing to others, knowing that God promises to bless our work and reward those who give! Proverbs 19:17 makes it clear that whatever we do for others in need the Lord notices, it says, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Due to the prayer & financial support from folks like you for 63 years, hope is restored to hopeless situations every day. Thank you for giving of your “stuff” (time, talents, treasure) to help those in need!
