Like many of the saints before him, Padre Pio had a great devotion to the Blessed Mother, particularly through the Holy Rosary. Padre Pio knew the importance Our Lady plays in the life of every Christian and knew the importance the Rosary plays in the hands of us, Christians. For him, the Rosary is the weapon against Satan. “May the Mother of Jesus and our Mother, always smile on your spirit, obtaining for it, from her Most Holy Son, every heavenly blessing.” ~ St. Padre Pio.
Our Padre Pio Prayer Group (PPPG-CK) cordially invites you to join them each second Saturday (next May 12) for the 8:00 a.m. Mass, rosary, discussion, and adoration. Visit www.pppg.org for a monthly newsletter and calendar, as well as to submit prayer petitions directly to Italy. Contact call Magdalena Skiles at 419-356-4208 or email her at ‘magdalena@magdalenaskiles.com ‘.
In closing, mark your calendars for our ‘Spring’ Padre Pio Prayer Group ‘Movie Day’ scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 1-3 and 7-9 p.m., Christ the King Parish Meeting Room, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623. We will host numerous special speakers to share the spirit of St. Padre Pio in this most significant year of his celebrations: 100 years of his receiving the Stigmata of the Lord, and 50 years of his reward to Heaven. Come and celebrate with us. Invite everyone. Our official flyer will be available by early May 2018 for publication in your parish bulletin, your bulletin board, and, of course, the best manner to advertise is by word of mouth, that personal invitation to family and friends.
Happy Mother’s Day. As St. Padre Pio always stated, “Love the Madonna!”
