Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps; March is dedicated to St. Joseph. The Holy Father’s Intentions for the month of March are Formation in Spiritual Discernment: That the Church may appreciate the urgency of formation in spiritual discernment, both on the personal and communitarian levels. Feasts for March: Katherine Drexel (3/3), Patrick (3/17), Joseph, husband of Mary (3/19), Palm Sunday (3/25), Holy Thursday (3/29), Good Friday (3/30), Holy Saturday (3/31).
March falls during the liturgical season of Lent, represented by the liturgical color purple – a symbol of penance, mortification, and the sorrow of a contrite heart. “When Jesus wants me to understand that He loves me, He allows me to savor the wounds, the thorns, the agonies of His passion…” ~ St. Padre Pio.
