Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps: As we begin to feel the warmth of summer, we can reflect that we celebrate the feasts of The Sacred Heart (June 3) and the Immaculate Heart of Mary (June 4). God is Love, and The Sacred Heart of Jesus is present on earth and in the Blessed Sacrament, a human manifestation of God’s Love for men. June is considered the month of weddings where human hearts join and cooperate with the Creator in bringing forth new life. The family they create is a human reflection of the Blessed Trinity. Other Feasts: St. Anthony of Padua (June 13), Nativity of John the Baptist (June 24), Peter & Paul (June 29), the First Martyrs of Rome (June 30).
The Holy Father’s Intentions for the month of June, 2016: Universal – That immigrants and refugees may find they are welcomed and respected in the countries to which they come. Evangelization – That the personal encounter with Jesus may touch many young people with the desire to offer their own life in priesthood or consecrate life.
The Effacious Novena to The Sacred Heart of Jesus was recited by Padre Pio for all those who asked his prayers. “O my Jesus, You have said, “Truly I say to you, Ask and it will be given you, seek and you will find, and it will be opened to you.” “Behold, I knock, I seek, and ask for the grace of ______________.” Recite the Our Father, Hail Mary, glory Be to the Father.
