St. Joseph’s Parish in Maumee, Ohio
will hold its ninth annual March for Life starting with a devotional at 2:00 pm followed by a mile long march to the parish cemetery where a brief ceremony will be held at the memorial of the unborn. Following the ceremony everyone is encouraged to return to the fellowship hall for soup and refreshments. This event is the only March for Life in the WOLF area (Wood, Ottawa, Lucas and Fulton counties). Even if you’re planning on attending this year’s March for Life in Washington, DC, please come out and participate in this local observance. This is just one small way you can make a difference for Life where you live.

The Putnam County March for Life will begin at 2:00 pm on the front steps of the Putnam County Courthouse, Main Street, Ottawa, Ohio. The march will proceed to the American Legion for prayer and refreshments.

Mother Teresa Respect for Life will be sponsoring the annual March for Life in Defiance, Ohio. The march will start at the same time as the March for Life in Washington DC to unite in prayer and walking for the voices of the unborn who cannot speak up for themselves. The march starts at the Defiance County Courthouse with Rick Small, director of operations for Clear Channel in Defiance and Napoleon, as the host and master of ceremonies. Father David Cirata, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Edgerton will start with prayer. A police escort will lead the march to the Monument for the Unborn where Rick Small will lead a prayer. After the parch, all are invited to the church basement at St. John’s Catholic Church for hot chocolate.
Wednesday, January 22, 2014 – National March for Life
The annual March for Life Rally is from noon-1pm on January 22, 2014 and as customary, will be on the National Mall with an exciting line-up of speakers. There will also be a warm up event/concert in the hour leading up to the Rally. For more information visit www.marchforlife.org.
