First Presbyterian Church, 611 Farnsworth Road, Waterville, will hold a Blue Christmas Worship Service on Sunday December 15th at 7:00 p.m. Christmas is such a significant holiday, but for those who are going through their first Christmas without a loved one, or having experienced a significant loss (such as job or income), the thought of being surrounded by the joy and exuberance of happy people is hard. A Blue Christmas service allows people to worship God and mark the birth of Christ, who has come to redeem us from all that destroys life, in a way that honors the suffering they are experiencing.
