This month I would like to talk about social media. Lets face it, social media is a big part of our lives now a days. We check it every day, we find out new information, and we get to speak what’s on our minds.
Because there are so many people on social networking sites, people all over can see what you say. Therefore, it’s important to be sending good messages. Most people are talking about things of the world or problems or just negative things in general. This is why it’s super important to post positive things. Encouraging people in Jesus or even just positive messages. You’ll stand out from the crowd and you don’t know who is reading it whose life may be affected. If people don’t like what you’re saying, there’s an unfollow button. Don’t worry about how many followers you have, Jesus only had 12.
Especially reading things on social networks, it’s important to keep your eyes focused on The Lord rather than the issues around you. If you need to then unfollow people that are negative or constantly purposely posting about ungodly things. Not only will it clear up your feed, but you’ll be receiving less negative information.
One more idea to think about; social media could be a way to open doors and minister to friends. You never know, someone could think about what you post and have some questions to ask you that could have a big impact on their relationship with Jesus!
