An exclusive evening for friends of the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank was held on September 11 at the lovely riverfront home of Leo and Debbie Deiger. Original music was provided by Adam SoRelle from Band 427.
John Christianson, Vice President & General Manager of WTVG-TV and Food Bank Board Member, welcomed over 60 people who enjoyed cocktails and appetizers. He talked about how thousands of families in Northwest Ohio struggle with hunger every day.
Debbie Deiger is the co-chair for the Masquerade Harvest of Thanks Dinner, Dance and Auction, a fundraiser for the Food Bank on Saturday, October 19, at Sylvania Country Club. Other committee members who attended included co-chair Hope Finch, Jan Colville, Sherrie Deiger, Shannon Gallup, Melani Heisler, Chris Kieffer, Wendy Kramer, Elaine LaValley Lewandowski, Trina Meadows, Paige O’Loughlin and Terri Shafer.
Area restaurants donating appetizers included Mancy’s Bluewater Grille, Real Seafood Co., LaScola Italian Grill, Magic Wok, Nick & Jimmy’s, Rosie’s Italian Grille, Harbor Inn & Ale, Avenue Bistro, Gonnella Foods and Sundown Cantina to name a few.
