November 13 Worship: Stewardship Sunday
Scripture: Malachi 4:1-2a; Psalm 98; 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13; Luke 21:5-19
Sermon: “Thanks and Giving”. We all love Thanksgiving. And we are called to Give Thanks. But let’s take time to look at the connection between acknowledging that the Lord has given all things to us, so we are to be thankful – but then are called to give generously of our time, talents and treasure. What is the Thanks and Giving connection?
November 20 Worship: Youth Sunday/Thanksgiving Sunday

October 2 Worship – World Wide Communion Sunday
Redeeming Your Time Week 1
Sermon: “What is Time?”
We are commended throughout scripture to redeem our time because “the day are evil” and we are running out of time to do the will of the Lord. If our aim is to redeem our time, it is imperative that we start with God’s word to see what the scriptures tell us about time.
October 9 Worship– Redeeming Your Time Week 2
Sermon: “Let Your Yes be Yes”
As we look at the life of Christ, we notice that Jesus always ensured that his “yes” was “yes,” from the smallest to the biggest commitments. He also fought to block out noise and create room for silence, stillness, and reflection, which we see all throughout the Gospels as he retreated to still places.
Zion Lutheran Church invites you to join them for their German Dinner on October 15th from 4-7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for a $14 donation. There will also be a 50/50 Raffle during the event.
Zion Lutheran Church is located at 8307 Memorial Hwy. Ottawa Lake, MI 49267. To Donate online visit: www.zionlutheranottawalakemi.com

Continue readingThe 15th Annual Golf for Hope, which is the longest running fundraiser for the ministries of Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission, is fast approaching. Currently, we’ve received about $10,000 in door prizes, however, financial sponsorships are very slim. I can not stress to you enough how crucial of a moment TGRM is in. Your support of this event is needed, not just to make the event successful, but also to strengthen TGRM’s ability to reach out even further to meet the needs of those who are homeless, hurting, and in need right here in the Toledo area.
