What would Lucas County look like if every Christian church were working in some loosely but strategically coordinated manner?
What would the church itself look like?
You are invited to attend the Poverty Summit 2015 — Mind the Gap.
The goal of this FREE one day event is to develop a plan for the Christians in Lucas County
to tackle poverty. The event is being held at Cherry Street Mission’s Life Revitalization Center (former Macomber High School), 1501 Monroe St, Toledo.
Dr. John Perkins will be our inspiring keynote speaker this year. Dr. Perkins started the Christian Community Development Association and has guided hundreds of communities and ministries in addressing poverty.
Breakout Sessions will include:
~ What Gap? Understanding what the church needs to know about poverty
~ Building the Bridge: Steps out of poverty and into autonomy
