Church needing a Pastor
A note from our friends at Wayne Community Church, located at: 150 Church Street in Wayne, OH:
“We are looking for the following in a pastor:
We are a small but extremely loyal, very supportive group that would love nothing more than to love, pray for and help a man of God as he would pastor our church. We believe in the Word of God to be the infallible truth, in the trinity, the virgin birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and His prompt return. We would love to have a full time pastor. We have always taken care of a pastor the best that we possibly can.
Serious inquires may call: Sterling Damron, first elder, at 419-287-4439 (home phone) or Lisa Boyer, church secretary, at 419-287-4209 (home phone).”

Garden Park Christian Church 60th Anniversary
Garden Park Christian Church, 8605 Salisbury Road in Monclova, will celebrate 60 years of ministry this September. Approximately 225 people from throughout the greater Toledo area routinely gather just west of the Quarry subdivision and across the road from the Lexington Glen subdivision in Monclova. Garden Park is part of a movement of non-denominational churches known as “The Restoration Movement”. Individual members call themselves “Christians” only, but they do not think of themselves as the “only Christians.” The movement continues to include all people who trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Garden Park Christian Church is not part of a denomination and has no governing headquarters, but chooses to base their faith and practice on the teachings of the Bible alone. Recognized as a conservative evangelical church, Garden Park began in 1955 with a meeting space in the old Fall-Meyer Elementary School building. In 1957, the congregation moved into a newly constructed building on Holland-Sylvania Road, and eventually built an addition to that structure. Forty-eight more years of steady growth led to the decision to look for a new location. A giving campaign, specifically designated for relocation and construction, launched in 2000. Members of the church gave gifts in addition to their regular offering. Groundbreaking took place in July 2002, and on May 25, 2003, Garden Park celebrated the first worship service in its newly built facility on Salisbury Road. Continue reading
