On June 3, 2017 from 9 am to 4 pm St. Matthew’s Church is having their 2nd Annual Fund-e-Vent! Located at 5240 Talmadge Rd., we will be featuring a Pig Roast, Children’s Games, Crafters, Garage Sale items, Raffles and Entertainment. So come on down and watch our champion tomahawk thrower and bounce in our bouncy house. Afterward enjoy a delicious lunch provided by Chef Gino. On your way out buy a gift for someone (or yourself) at one of our venders. (We are holding this event to raise funds to pay for the renovations needed due to a 50 year termite infestation. Our insurance did not cover the damage).

Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps:  As we begin to feel the warmth of summer, we can reflect that we celebrate the feasts of The Sacred Heart (June 3) and the Immaculate Heart of Mary (June 4).  God is Love, and The Sacred Heart of Jesus is present on earth and in the Blessed Sacrament, a human manifestation of God’s Love for men.  June is considered the month of weddings where human hearts join and cooperate with the Creator in bringing forth new life.  The family they create is a human reflection of the Blessed Trinity. Dear Fellow Parish Bulletin Reps: The feast of May is dedicated to The Blessed Virgin Mary. The entire month follows within the liturgical season of Easter, which is represented by the liturgical color ‘white’ – the color of light, , a symbol of joy, purity, and innocence. The Holy Father’s intention for May 2017: ‘Christians in Africa: That in every country of the world women may be honored and respected and their essential contribution to society may be highly esteemed’.
