This Sunday is set aside to honor mothers, i.e. mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, mothers-in-law, adoption mothers, foster mothers, step-mothers and stand-in mothers.
Please remember too, that Saturday is set aside to honor birth mothers, i.e. mothers who placed their child(ren) for adoption.
Zion Lutheran Church, 8307 Memorial Hwy in Ottawa Lake, Mi. is having a Pig Roast on Saturday, May 19 from 4 to 6:30 pm. to build up the community and strengthen two weak links in the area. The Pig Roast will benefit the church sponsored Food Pantry which provides 40 plus families with healthy food support and will for the first time sponsor a children’s summer called Christ Camp. 
Ain’t it great, we just turned 8!

This evening (Tuesday, April 24 at 7 pm) at Woodmore High School the Christian band “The Stray” will be live in concert with guest speaker Joel Penton giving a speech as well. Admission is free and Sam Barbee wanted to extend a welcome hand to our congregation. Thanks for passing this along, Sam!
