SAVE THE DATE for the Benefit for Life And Volunteers Needed!

FoundationPicAnnual Charity Reception scheduled on Thursday, October 25

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 25 for this year’s Benefit for Life.  The featured speaker for the 2018 annual charity reception is Jennifer Christie.  Jennifer’s story will negate the notion that rape is justification for abortion when she shares her testimony of being raped on a business trip and how her husband and she still chose life’.  Her story is a riveting and emotional account of how precious, innocent life is valuable no matter the circumstances of conception.  You won’t want to miss the opportunity to hear her touching story of how fierce love and faith can overcome societal pressure and horrific tragedy.

The event will be held at the Premier Banquet Hall located at 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd. with a partner social at 5 pm and the seated dinner & presentation at 7 pm.

Tickets are just $60. Reserved tables are $520 for 10 seats.  If you act before August 30, you can save $10 per ticket!  Event Partners are needed to underwrite the costs of this charity reception with benefit levels from $500 to $3,500.    See details at www.fflnwo.org or call 419-535-5800. Padre Pio Prayer Group

CrossPrayerDear Fellow Parish Insert Reps:  The month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  The Holy Father’s Intentions for the month of June 2018:  Universal-Social Networks:  That social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects other for their differences.  Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (6/3), Sacred Heart of Jesus (6/8), Immaculate Heart of Mary (6/9), Anthony of Padua (6/13), Peter and Paul (6/29).

Padre Pio’s devotion to the Sacred Heart manifested itself in the mystical union in a faithful imitation, a loving reparation and confident prayer.  He wrote on 12 April 1912: “When Mass was over I remained with Jesus in thanksgiving.  oh, how sweet was the colloquy with paradise that morning!  It was such that although I want to tell you all about it, I cannot.  There were things which cannot be translated into the human language without losing their deep and heavenly meaning.  The Heart of Jesus and my own — allow me to use the expression — were fused.  No longer was two hearts beating but only one. My own heart had disappeared as a drop of water is lost in the ocean.  Jesus was its paradise, its king. My joy was so intense and deep that I could bear no more and tears of happiness poured down my cheeks.  When paradise is poured into a heart, this afflicted, exiled, the weak and mortal heart cannot bear it without weeping.’ – St. Padre Pio.
