One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people can be. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

PILGRIM’S ANNUAL PARKING LOT PARTY SATURDAY AUGUST 25

Sylvania Ave. in Toledo, Ohio, will hold its annual Parking Lot Party on Saturday, August 25 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  This event will include food, live musical entertainment and games for the children, all FREE!  This event is open to the public.  We invite you to come down and have a great time!

Local Artist Accepted in ViewPoint 50, 2018

GlassArtNational Juried Art Exhibition

Local Artist Matthew Paskiet has his artwork, Chalcedony Web Sculpture, accepted into
ViewPoint 50, 2018 a national juried art competition sponsored by the Cincinnati Art Club.
This marks the 50th year for this annual competition which comprises 90 works by national
artists in various media.

ViewPoint 50, 2018 will hold an artist’s reception and awards ceremony which is open to the
public at Greenwich House Gallery, 2124 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208
on Saturday, September 15th from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. The exhibition will continue through

Monsignor Michael Billian’s Installation Mass, as our new Pastor, will be held on Sunday, August 19th at 9:30 a.m. Bishop Daniel Thomas will preside at this liturgy and we’ll have a reception following the Mass on the south lawn of our Church. Light refreshments will be provided and it will serve as an opportunity to meet-and-greet Bishop Thomas, Monsignor Billian, and fellow parishioners. The Kairos Ohio Prison Ministry at Toledo Correctional Institution

Kairos_logoHeld weekend #31 September 20-23. This is an opportunity for us to follow God’s Word and bring His Good News to those that reside at Toledo Correctional.

The Kairos program is a 3 ½ day course in Christianity conducted by a team made up of laymen and clergy in cooperation with the staff at the facility. Twenty-four men will participate in this program that has changed the lives of many who have gone through it. From one of the participants: “I came into the weekend upset, no hope and in pain. I’m taking away peace of mind, joy, and Jesus.” And from Matthew 25:36- “I was in prison, and you visited me.” Continue reading »

Girls’ August Event: Sunday, August 12th, Noon Kayaking at Farnsworth Metro Park Route 24, Waterville (Boat Launch entrance, then turn left by playground) We will have a picnic lunch then go kayaking. Please bring a dish to share. Sandwiches, drinks, and table service provided. Kayaking is $15/person or $20/tandem for 1 hour. Sign up sheet is posted in the sanctuary.
