“Draw your strength from the Lord and from His mighty power. Put on the armor of God.” Ephesians 6:10-11(a) Paul’s letter to the Ephesians reveals many remarkable gifts that we as Christians are given in the Church. It shows us the great inheritance that awaits us as sons and daughters, adopted fully into the family of God, and reveals how God’s great love for us can transform our daily lives. Ephesians will enrich your faith and show you how to live it out. This letter has been called the “crown and climax” of Pauline thought. Join us for this 8-week Bible Study that will be offered on Tuesday evenings (7:00-8:30) and Wednesday mornings (9:30-11:00) beginning September 25/26 in the East Campus meeting rooms. The cost for the workbook is $13.00, and payment may be made at the first session when the book is distributed. Beautiful Feet ~ written by Jenifer Christiaanse, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio
Nick Taylor came to Toledo on a track scholarship to attend the University of Toledo. When he graduated from U.T., he left with a civil engineering degree in hand, a bride at his side, and Christ in his heart. Through the witness of a roommate, and through the discipleship of Campus Bible Fellowship, Nick came to Christ and was grounded in the faith. He continued to grow in Him as he and Amy became members of Emmanuel Baptist Church where the Taylors lent sweat and toil to many missions trips and served on the missions committee. While still working, Nick obtained a seminary degree from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit. After an internship at EBC, Nick and Amy were called to full-time missions service. Continue reading
