Gifts For Friends For FREE — Author Unknown

SONY DSCTrue friends are not fussy or judgmental. They care not what you are worth or what you own. And they certainly understand the meaning of your friendship, and whatever you may give as a present comes from the heart. Here are some of the most heartfelt gifts you can offer good friends, without a bit of monetary investment.

1) THE GIFT OF LISTENING…
But you must REALLY listen. No interrupting, no daydreaming, no planning your response. Just listening.

2) THE GIFT OF AFFECTION…
Be generous with appropriate hugs, kisses, pats on the back and handholds. Let these small actions demonstrate the love you have for family and friends.

3) THE GIFT OF LAUGHTER…
Clip cartoons. Share articles and funny stories. Your gift will say, “I love to laugh with you.”

Welcome to another beautiful day in paradise.

SONY DSCLook with the eyes of your soul and see the beauty in others and you will see you are in paradise.
Today is Indigenous People’s Day. In some places it is official, in others it is unofficial. It is time to give respect and honor to those who were here before we and our ancestors were. It is time for atonement, i.e. to be at-one-ment with them. There is great wisdom they would share with us in their culture, traditions, practices and spirituality.
Look them up, do some research. Learning more about people makes them more real to us and allows us to understand them and respect them. We might even learn something from them.

Haskins Community Church News

church-newsletter-clipart-20Video Series: “He’s Still Got the Whole World in His Hands.” 3 Part Video/Study by Andy Stanley from North Point Church Held after worship from 11:30-12:30 on October 21, October 28, and November 4. How do we remain hopeful in a world that seems hopelessly broken? How do we continue to trust a God that seems conspicuously absent? How do we find peace in a world that is spinning out of control? If you’ve ever asked questions like these, you’re not alone . . . and you’re not the first. Uncertainty is nothing new. And the uncertainty we face today is no different from the uncertainty faced by the men and women of the Bible. And like them, we are left to question God’s faithfulness, his presence, his concern. In this 3-part series, we’re reminded that . . . He’s Still Got the Whole World in His Hands. You may attend just one session, but attendance at all three is highly recommended! Friends from the community are encouraged and welcome!
