The Voice Of Heaven

Music: Where does it come from? It comes from God. Music heals our minds and brings us peace and tranquility. Music drives away depression. GOD gave music to man and woman to make each other happy, to love, for joy, to celebrate, to ease the pain and sorrow. Music is GOD’s gift to us. Let’s thank God for music as we listen to it. What a perfect gift. Thank you GOD. Thank you Lord Jesus.

Sometimes the sound is hushed and peaceful, wafting softly like a “still small voice”. [I Kings 19:12] At other times it approaches like the thunderous storm over Mount Sinai. [Exodus 20:18]

The language might be different and the tone of it may vary, but it is given as a gift to all from God. It arrives as an amalgamation of pitches and notes. Its frequencies are measured in cycles-per-second and its volume determined by decibels.

Compassion-driven confrontation – Part 3
By Pastor Hobbins

While I don’t think that anyone that likes to confront others, but we can all understand that there are times that confrontation is absolutely necessary. While confrontation may be necessary, confrontation that is coupled with compassion is vital. This causes us to consider, “What constitutes compassion-driven confrontation?” Last month I gave three more elements of compassion-driven confrontation for our consideration. The three we looked at last month were…

  1. Compassion-driven confrontation keeps the proper priority during the confrontation.

  2. Compassion-driven confrontation stays close to the Lord’s leading throughout the confrontation (1 Samuel 8:19-22).

  3. Compassion-driven confrontation should only come from the right person and should not be avoided when you are the right person (1 Samuel 3:12-13; 2 Samuel 12:1).

Now let’s consider a few more elements of compassionate confrontation.

Living in the Light

Auth014I’ve had some time on my hands over the last few weeks and I’ve been catching up on T.V. show’s I’ve missed over the last few years.  One show got me thinking about how something so small as a harmless little white lie can have far reaching affects.  You see one small lie often requires subsequent lies to cover the first small lie.

Beloved

BeauBeloved and Fellow Warriors for Christ,

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and you labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.” (Is 55:1-2, ESV)
It was revealed again to me that the trouble I have gotten myself into is caused by one simple thing – I sought something other than Jesus Christ to satisfy me (idolatry). If I have complicated things in my life, gotten into debt, or made poor decision; it is because my spirit and soul (including intellect and emotions) longed for water and food, and I sought it at the wrong place. It is like going to McDonalds looking for filet mignon. You can search and search, but you will never find a filet at McDonalds.
